Dans le cadre des festivit\u00e9s, un d\u00e9fil\u00e9 du Nouvel An prenait place le premier f\u00e9vrier dans le Quartier Chinois de Montr\u00e9al.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Tel que le veut la tradition, cette c\u00e9l\u00e8bre parade symbolise l\u2019action d\u2019\u00e9liminer toutes malchances v\u00e9cues l\u2019ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente afin d\u2019\u00eatre sain d\u2019esprit en d\u00e9butant la nouvelle ann\u00e9e. 2025 repr\u00e9sente l\u2019ann\u00e9e du Serpent qui symbolise la transformation, la sagesse et la pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance. Le Nouvel An lunaire, aussi appel\u00e9 la f\u00eate du printemps, illustre une c\u00e9l\u00e9bration lors de laquelle la temp\u00e9rature de l\u2019hiver est associ\u00e9e au renouveau des habitants. Ce d\u00e9fil\u00e9 met en valeur les performances traditionnelles de danses du lion et de danses du dragon. Lors de cette f\u00eate, l\u2019habillement rouge symbolise le bonheur et la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9, tandis que les lanternes rouges symbolisent la lumi\u00e8re et l\u2019espoir.
