Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 emmen\u00e9 \u00e0 cet endroit pour y \u00eatre d\u00e9mantel\u00e9 et recycl\u00e9 pour une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de recyclage maritime mexicaine. Depuis le d\u00e9but, la ville n\u2019est point en accord avec ce projet voyant le potentiel dangereux que repr\u00e9sentait ce bateau. Le cargo contient suppos\u00e9ment 2 millions de litres d\u2019eau contamin\u00e9e par le p\u00e9trole qui risque \u00e0 tout moment de se d\u00e9verser dans le lac Saint-Louis, une r\u00e9serve d\u2019eau potable pour Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n<p>Le plus gros probl\u00e8me est que maintenant la compagnie mexicaine renonce \u00e0 tous ses droits sur le cargo. Ce qui a pour cons\u00e9quence l\u2019arr\u00eat du pompage d\u2019eau qui s\u2019infiltre.
